Crain Fiberglass Grade Rods

CR Series Leveling Rods are constructed of rugged non-conductive fiberglass that will not gall, dent, or kink the way aluminum leveling rods do. These rods have a ¼ x 20 thread in the top section and an adapter is available for purchase separately to adapt to 5/8 x 11 threads.

CR Series rods have a leveling scale on one side and measuring scale on the other side. The measuring scale on the CR rods allows the user to read the overall height at eye level, and can be used to make clearance and height measurements.

The CR Series Leveling Rods are rectangular (square) in shape. The CR Series will accept all lasers without a need for a separate bracket to mount the sensor. The sensor clamps directly to the rod without an adapter and there are no dead spots, even at the top of the sections.

Export models are available in “E”, ½ Centimeter, and British “E” rods. These have an extra section and a shorter collapsed length to fit in smaller vehicles.

Carrying cases are available as an accessory for purchase separately but do not come with the rod.

All Crain leveling rods have range markings, small red numbers between the foot and meter marks on the rods. These numbers tell you what range you are in, even if you can’t see the foot or meter marks.

Replacements parts are available for all Crain Leveling Rods and our Measuring Rulers. They are as follows:

Complete lock sets (one set equips an entire rod and includes plugs, buttons, and springs)
Individual lock assemblies (available for individual sections on all Leveling Rod Series except the CR Series)
