A+ Skidloader Services, LLC of Boone Iowa:
The 1.5" tubing is 6 foot
overall--fairly thick wall as we didn't want it
vibrating (it doesn't). We made sure we were on a level
surface with the arms completely down. We then tilted
the bucket until the bottom was perfectly level and then
came out at an angle to place the receiver directly
above the cutting edge. This does two things: it places
the receiver out where you are cutting and allows the
cab door to completely open w/o hitting the mast.
We then made sure the mast was "plumb"
(straight up and down and straight side-to-side).
On the bucket mount (we have made
three of them for three different buckets): The tube was
about 10" long. Once again, with machine on level, arms
down, and "floor" of bucket level, we attached the tube
"plumb", and reinforced/gusseted it well so it would
hold up to severe uses when laser mast is not being
used. We used half-inch diameter by one inch long grade
5 bolts and nuts as set screws.
